Uper Hisri Hills
Uper Hisri Hills offers one of the highest vantage points in the Netarhat region, providing a 360-degree view of the surrounding valleys and the winding roads that lead up the plateau. The hills are characterized by their flat-topped structure, a common feature of the pat landform in Jharkhand. Wal king up the gentle slopes of Hisri, one can see the vast stretches of forest that change color with the seasons—from the bright green of the monsoon to the rusty oranges and browns of early summer. The area is steeped in local tribal folklore, with many believing the hills to be the home of ancient spirits that protect the forest. The air at this altitude is incredibly thin and fresh, often making visitors feel like they are walking among the clouds during the rainy season when the mist settles on the peaks. The hills are also an important site for local shepherds who bring their cattle here to graze on the lush mountain grass. Unlike the crowded viewpoints of Netarhat, Hisri remains a place for deep reflection and quietude. The geological composition of the hill consists primarily of bauxite and laterite rocks, which give the soil a distinct reddish tint.
