How To Reach Ango Ching

From Imphal airport, travelers must first hire a pre-booked taxi or take a state transport bus to Ukhrul town (a journey of about 3 to 4 hours). Upon reaching Ukhrul town, the final segment of the journey, which is the most challenging, requires arranging for a sturdy 4x4 private vehicle or a specialized local taxi due to the remote, unpaved, and difficult terrain leading into the sanctuary's core area near the Myanmar border, and this final stretch must be undertaken with a local guide.
