By Air: To reach Island View Point in Nongdam Tangkhul, first fly to Imphal International Airport (IMF), about 90 kilometers from Ukhrul town. From there, take a bus or taxi to Ukhrul town center. The viewpoint is located about 25-30 KMS from the town center.

By Train: The nearest major rail connectivity is at Dimapur Railway Station (DMV) in Nagaland, located about 210 kilometers from Ukhrul. The road journey to Ukhrul is completed by hiring a shared or private taxi.

By Road: Ukhrul town is accessible via National Highway 150 (NH-150) from Imphal (83 KMS). Shared Sumo taxis and buses frequently run this route. From Ukhrul town, the final 25-30 KMS drive to Nongdam Tangkhul is on local roads, which can be scenic but may have rough patches and requires a local vehicle hire.

By Local Transport: The best Local Transport option for the Island View Point is to hire a private local taxi (a jeep or Sumo) for a dedicated return trip, as the remote location in Nongdam Tangkhul village is not serviced by regular public local transport. This private hire allows for flexibility, especially if the plan is to view the sunrise or sunset, which necessitates travel outside of regular hours, and the driver will be essential for navigating the hilly, winding approach road to the village and the final elevated spot.
