By Train (Nearest Railway Station): The nearest and most convenient major railway station is Kathgodam Railway Station (KGM), located approximately 35 KMs away. From Kathgodam, you can hire a private taxi, a shared cab, or take a local bus towards Nainital. Ask the driver to drop you at the Khurpatal viewpoint on the Nainital-Kaladhungi road.
By Road (From Nainital): The lake is about 10-12 KMs from the Nainital Mall Road. The easiest way is to hire a local taxi or cab from the Mall Road or Tallital bus stand. It is situated on the Nainital-Kaladhungi road. For a more adventurous approach, you can trek approximately 5 KMs from the city center.
By Local Transport: Local taxis and auto-rickshaws are readily available in Nainital to take you directly to the viewpoint. Ensure you negotiate the fare beforehand, especially for a round trip with waiting time.
