By Train (Nearest Railway Station): The nearest major railhead is Kathgodam Railway Station (KGM), approximately 35-40 KMs away. From the station, hire a private taxi directly to Kilbury. The road is winding but scenic.
By Road (From Nainital): Kilbury is about 12-13 KMs from the Nainital Mall Road. Take the road past the Naina Peak range and Himalaya Darshan point towards Pangot. The drive takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Private taxis are the best option.
By Local Transport: Local cabs from Nainital's taxi stand can be hired for a round trip to the sanctuary. It is too far for an auto-rickshaw. Many tourists also hire a motorbike to enjoy the scenic mountain road.
