By Air (Nearest Airport)The nearest major airport is Birsa Munda Airport (IXR) in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Ranchi is approximately 156 KMs from Netarhat. From the airport, you can hire a pre-booked taxi or a private cab service directly to Netarhat. The drive is scenic but takes around 4-5 hours. By Train (Nearest Railway Station)The nearest major railway station is Ranchi Junction (RNC), which is well-connected to major Indian cities like Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai. Another option is Daltonganj Railway Station (DTO), which is closer to Latehar but may have fewer connectivity options. From the station, you must hire a taxi or take a state transport bus to reach Netarhat. The drive from Ranchi is about 156 KMs. By Road (From Netarhat)Netarhat is the base, and the Lower Ghaghri Waterfalls is about 10 KMs away. The falls are best reached by hiring a local taxi or an auto-rickshaw from the Netarhat market. The road is accessible, but the last section requires a descent on foot. For self-driving, note that the road might become a bit challenging and slippery during the monsoon.

By Local Transport:Within Netarhat, local jeep taxis or shared auto-rickshaws are the most common way to travel to nearby sites like the waterfall. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. It is also common to hire a local guide who can accompany you and help with transport arrangements, especially since the final part of the journey involves a downhill trek.
