How to Reach
By Train: The nearest railhead is Kathgodam Railway Station (KGM), about 40 km away. From Kathgodam, hire a taxi to Nainital town. The zoo is a short drive uphill from the main town center.
By Road: The zoo is located on a hillside road (via Mallital). If coming by bus, get off at Tallital Bus Stand and take a local cab or shared taxi to the zoo entrance, as it is a steep 2 km uphill climb.
By Local Transport: The zoo is about 2 km uphill from Tallital Bus Stand and about 1 km uphill from Mallital. A local share-a-taxi (taxi stand near Mallital or Flats) is the most convenient way to reach the entrance gate due to the steep terrain. Walking is possible but challenging. :
