Khongjom War Memorial Complex
The Khongjom War Memorial Complex is one of the most significant historical landmarks in Manipur. It commemorates the site of the last battle of the Anglo-Manipur War fought in April 1891. This battle was a heroic but unsuccessful attempt by the Manipuri army to resist British colonization. The com plex is situated on Kheba Hill, where the bloodiest encounter took place.
