Structural Design: The "architecture" of Lousi Lake today is defined by the massive drainage canals built to reclaim land. These canals are impressive engineering feats of the 1970s. The nearby villages feature traditional houses with granaries (Keithel) made of wood and bamboo, designed to store the surplus rice produced from the reclaimed lake bed. -
