Loktak Lake
Overview and Unique Ecosystem:: Loktak Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India, famous globally for its unique ecosystem of floating islands called Phumdis. The southern part hosts the Keibul Lamjao National Park, the world's only floating national park, home to the endangered Sangai (Manipur's state animal).
