Details: Kisha Khou, also known as the Magnificent Cliff or Mount Kisha, is one of the most awe-inspiring geological formations in Tamenglong. Located near the remote Magulong Village, this massive sedimentary rock cliff stands as a towering sentinel over the surrounding valleys. The cliff is not on ly a natural wonder but also a site of great historical and spiritual importance. It served as a strategic hideout for Rani Gaidinliu during her underground movement against the British forces in 1932 and later during the Indian independence struggle. The sheer scale of the cliff is intimidating, with vertical drops that offer some of the most dramatic views in all of Northeast India. The rock faces show distinct layers of sedimentary deposits, telling a geological story that spans millions of years. For the local Zeliangrong tribes, Kisha Khou is a sacred site associated with ancient deities and protective spirits.
