Ater Fort
Ater Fort is a magnificent 17th-century structure located deep within the mysterious ravines of the Chambal River. Built by the Bhadauria kings, specifically Badan Singh, it served as a strategic military outpost against invaders. The fort is shrouded in legends, including the "Khooni Darwaza" wher e history says the blood of enemies once stained the walls. Despite its dilapidated state, the fort's grandeur is evident in its massive gateways and intricate residential quarters. It offers a hauntingly beautiful glimpse into the Rajput-Mughal era of warfare and royalty. Visitors can explore the various "Mahals" and enjoy a panoramic view of the Chambal sands from the ramparts.
