Coaker's Walk

Overview: Coaker's Walk is a charming, narrow, 1-kilometer-long paved pedestrian path carved into the steep southern slope of the mountain. It was designed and constructed by Lieutenant Coaker in 1872, after whom it is named. Panoramic Views: Located approximately 2,133 meters above sea level, it of fers breathtaking, panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, the plains below (Periyakulam and even a distant view of Madurai city on a clear day), and the famous Dolphin's Nose. The Telescope House: A key feature is the Telescope House located along the path, which allows visitors to enjoy a magnified, detailed view of the distant valleys and towns.
