By Train: The closest railway station is Kathgodam Railway Station (KGM), about 36 KMS away. Numerous taxis and private cabs are available outside the station for the approximately 1. 5-hour drive directly to the Raj Bhavan gate or a hotel nearby.
By Road: Nainital is highly accessible via NH-109. The Raj Bhavan is located about 3. 5 KMS uphill from the Tallital Bus Stand. State-run buses and private buses from Delhi and other North Indian cities reach Tallital. From the bus stand, a private or shared taxi is the recommended local transport.
By Local Transport: From Mall Road or Tallital, you can hire a private taxi or an auto-rickshaw (shared taxis are also an option during peak season) directly to the main gate of the Raj Bhavan. Walking is possible but is a strenuous uphill trek of over 3. 5 KMS.
