By Train: The nearest major railway station is Jammu Tawi Railway Station (JAT), approximately 370 KM away. From Jammu, take a train to Srinagar (or a taxi) and then proceed by road.
By Road: Nilagrad River is highly accessible by road. Drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg (~3 hours) via NH 1. From the main Sonamarg market area, the site is a very short drive (approx. 6 KM) towards the Baltal road, near the Baltic Colony on the Srinagar-Leh Highway.
By Local Transport: The most common way to reach is by hiring a local union taxi from the Sonamarg taxi stand, which takes about 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, it can be reached via a pleasant 1-hour walk from the main town, as it is close to the road. No special transport like ponies is required. (Summary maintains focus for ).
