By Train: Guwahati Railway Station (GHY) The railway terminus is in Guwahati (approx. 320 KMS). The onward journey to Baghmara must be completed by road, typically taking 8-10 hours.
By Road:
Via Baghmara Town: First, reach Baghmara by road from major cities like Tura or Shillong. From Baghmara, hire a local, high-clearance vehicle (jeep or Sumo) to the nearest accessible point, followed by a trek.
By Local Transport:
Hired Jeep/Trek: No direct public transport to the river itself. The final leg requires a hired 4x4 vehicle to the nearest village/roadhead, and then a mandatory trek of 1-2 hours with a local guide.
