By Train:Nearest major railway station is Jammu Tawi (JAT). Travel to Srinagar by road or rail, then proceed to Sonamarg by taxi/bus.
By Road:From Srinagar, take a taxi or bus to Sonamarg. The final access from Sonamarg town is via a dedicated local taxi to the Shitkadi base. Local Transport consists of union taxis and ponies.
