Kalyani Temple

Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India
The Kalyani Temple, also frequently associated with the Kalyaneshwari Temple nearby, is a revered shrine dedicated to Maa Kalyaneshwari, an incarnation of Goddess Shakti. Established centuries ago, it is one of the oldest centers of pilgrimage in the Dhanbad region. The temple carries a deep spirit ual aura, drawing thousands of devotees who believe the Goddess fulfills all their heartfelt wishes. Historically, it is said that the temple was a site where ancient rites were performed, and even the local royalty sought blessings here before major battles. The temple is situated near the banks of the Barakar River, adding a scenic natural beauty to the spiritual experience. The atmosphere inside the complex is filled with the scent of incense and the sound of bells. Devotees often tie small stones to a sacred Neem tree within the premises, a tradition signifying a prayer or a wish; once the wish is granted, they return to untie the stone. The temple is not just a religious site but a cultural pillar for the people of Dhanbad and neighboring West Bengal.
