Tilaiya Dam

Tilaiya Dam is the first of the four multi-purpose dams included in the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). Located in Koderma, it is a popular getaway for those in Dhanbad. The dam is built across the Barakar River and is surrounded by stunning hills and lush green forests. The vast reservoir create s a lake-like appearance, making it a hotspot for boating and water sports. The reservoir covers an area of about 36 Square KMS, offering a majestic view of the water meeting the horizon.
