Chellarkovil Viewpoint is an enchanting high-altitude location situated on the eastern edge of the Western Ghats, directly on the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It is renowned for its breathtaking, panoramic vista that dramatically drops into the vast plains of Tamil Nadu below. The viewpoint is a slice of tranquil nature, offering a stark contrast between the dense, forested hills of Kerala and the distant, dry, cultivated fields of the neighboring state, particularly the Cumbum Valley. A key highlight is the small, seasonal Aruvikuzhi Waterfall (or Chellarkovil Waterfall), which originates in Kerala and cascades down the cliff face to irrigate the farmlands of Tamil Nadu.
