How To Reach Dali Monastery

Dali Monastery, officially known as Druk Thupten Sangag Choeling Monastery, is a prominent and one of the largest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Darjeeling. By Train: The nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP). From the station, you can hire a taxi to reach Darjeeling town. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours. From the town, Dali is a short taxi ride away.

By Road: Dali is located on the Hill Cart Road, which connects Darjeeling and Siliguri. You can easily hire a shared or private taxi from Darjeeling town to reach the monastery. The journey is short and takes about 15-20 minutes.

By Local Transport: The monastery is a short taxi ride from Darjeeling town. You can also take a leisurely walk from the town center to the monastery, which is a pleasant 1-hour walk.
