By Train: Haridwar Junction (HW) is the main railway station and is just about 1. 5 KMS from Har Ki Pauri. The railway station is connected to virtually all major cities. Because the area near the ghat is a restricted zone for large vehicles, it is best to take an auto-rickshaw or e-rickshaw from the station to the nearest drop-off point, often called Lalita Devi Temple Chowk, and then walk a short distance.
By Road: Haridwar is on NH-334. State transport and private buses from Delhi, Dehradun, and Rishikesh drop passengers at the main Haridwar Bus Stand, which is about 2 KMS away. From the bus stand, local transport is essential.
By Local Transport: Due to vehicle restrictions, a combination of auto-rickshaws/e-rickshaws and walking is the only way to reach the ghat. Shared autos are very common and cheap, connecting all parts of the city to the Har Ki Pauri approach roads: End.
