How to Reach
Fly to Dehradun (Jolly Grant Airport - 300 KMS): Fly to Jolly Grant Airport (DED), take a taxi/bus to Joshimath (9 hrs), then to Govindghat (22 KMS), followed by a 19 km combined trek (13 km to Ghangaria + 6 km to Hemkund).
By Train:
Travel to Rishikesh (275 KMS): Take a train to Rishikesh, then a long bus/taxi to Govindghat via Joshimath.
By Road:
Govindghat is the End of Road: The road ends at Govindghat. From there, hire a shared taxi to Pulna (the last road point) and then trek to Ghangaria.
By Local Transport:
Pony/Mule from Govindghat or Ghangaria: From Govindghat or Ghangaria, the final climb can be completed by foot or by hiring a pony/mule.
