By Train: The nearest railway station is Polur Railway Station, approximately 25-30 KMS away. Tiruvannamalai Railway Station (TNM) is also well-connected. From the station, take a local bus or taxi to the base village.
By Road: The hill is well-connected by road, being about 40 KMS from Tiruvannamalai City. Take the route towards Polur and then turn off toward Kadaladi or Thenmathimangalam. State and local buses run to the nearby towns and villages; however, the last few kilometers to the base of the trek often require a local auto or pre-booked taxi. Self-driving is the most flexible option.
By Local Transport: From the nearest town of Polur, one can hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw to the base villages of Kadaladi or Thenmathimangalam, which are the starting points for the two main trekking routes. Negotiate the fare for the round trip, including waiting time.
