Alternatively, one can fly to Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU), which is much further away (approx. 330 KMS), requiring a significantly longer onward journey by train or road to Haflong.

By Train: Haflong has its own railway station, the New Haflong Railway Station (NHLG), which is well-connected to major cities in Assam like Guwahati and Silchar. The train journey through the Dima Hasao district is considered one of the most picturesque in India, passing through numerous tunnels and bridges, including the famous Dayang Rail Bridge. From New Haflong Station, the church in Fiangpui is only about 5-6 KMS away. You can hire an auto-rickshaw or a local taxi from the station. The train is highly recommended for the scenic beauty.

By Road: Haflong is accessible by road, though the mountain roads (part of the National Highway network) can be challenging and prone to landslides during the monsoon season.
