How To Reach Periyar Lake

Cochin is a major hub with excellent domestic and international connectivity. From either airport, the remaining journey to Thekkady must be completed by road. The drive from Cochin is particularly scenic, passing through the beautiful midlands and high ranges of Kerala, taking about 4 to 5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions on the winding hill roads.
By Train: The nearest major railway station is Kottayam Railway Station (KTYM), located about 110 KMS from Thekkady.
