How to Reach
By Train: The nearest major railway station is Jammu Tawi (JAT), over 800 KMS away. The rest of the journey must be completed by road or air.
By Road: The palace is easily reached from the Leh main market by a short, uphill walk (10-15 minutes) or a very short taxi ride up the main road.
By Local Transport: The best way is to walk through the Old Town alleys, starting from the Leh market, to fully appreciate the setting.
