Travel Tips Of Mamleshwar Temple

Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh, India
Twin Jyotirlinga Status:The Mamleshwar Temple (also known as Amreshwar) is one of the two main Shiva shrines in Omkareshwar, considered the Pratibimb (reflection) or complementary half of the Omkar Mandhata Jyotirlinga. The ancient texts stipulate that the pilgrimage is complete only after worshippi ng at both temples.: Historical Inscriptions:The temple is historically significant, featuring stone inscriptions (Mahimn Stotras) from 1063 AD, confirming its existence during the Paramara dynasty. Its association with Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, who performed daily Puja here, adds to its historical and spiritual gravitas. It is a tranquil and highly revered ancient shrine.

Accommodation (100 words):Located on the mainland, the area offers the most diverse range of accommodation options, from budget Dharamshalas to better hotels.
