Boar Rock
Boar Rock, also known as Shelter III F-19, is one of the most iconic rock shelters within the Bhimbetka site. It is named after a spectacular, oversized painting of a wild boar that dominates the rock face. This painting is unique because of its scale and the mythical appearance of the creature, wh ich features elements of an elephant and a bull. The boar is depicted in a deep red pigment, likely derived from haematite, and is shown in a dynamic pose that suggests power and movement.
