Kedar Gouri Temple
The Kedargauri Temple is an ancient and unique temple complex dedicated to both Lord Shiva (Kedareshwar) and his consort Goddess Parvati (Gauri). It is believed to be one of the eight Astasambhu shrines in the city. The complex contains two main temples (one for Kedar and one for Gauri) and two sacr ed tanks: Khira Kund and Marichi Kund. The temple is famously associated with the tragic love legend of Kedar and Gauri, who died here and whose memory was honored by King Lalatendu Keshari by building the shrine. This legend makes it a popular destination for couples seeking blessings for a happy marriage.

The Gouri Temple is typically a simpler structure. The complex has a Vimana and a Jagamohana (measuring about 20. 40m x 9. 60m), with the Vimana being a Rekha Deula and the Jagamohana a Pidha Deula. The exterior walls are decorated with beautiful sculptures, including the parsvadevatas of Ganesha, Kartikeya, and Parvati. -
