Architectural Purpose: Like all stepwells (Vavs), its primary function was a practical one: to provide reliable access to groundwater, conserve water, and serve as a cool, underground retreat, especially for women, during the hot summer months. It showcases the widespread culture of stepwell building in the region. Current Status: The Vav is a protected heritage site, though not as grand or well-maintained as Rani ki Vav. It serves as a quieter alternative for those interested in stepwell architecture and is situated away from the main city's bustle.
