Sadaqat Ashram is a historic and profoundly significant site established in 1921 by Maulana Mazharul Haque, a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi, on land donated by his friend Khairun Miya; The name Sadaqat means 'Truthfulness'; It played a pivotal role during India's independence movement, serving a s a hub for eminent freedom fighters like Brajkishore Prasad, Dr. Anugrah Narayan Sinha, and Dr. Rajendra Prasad; It later became the final residential place of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India's first President, after his retirement in 1962 until his death in 1963; Today, it houses the headquarters of the Bihar Vidyapeeth, a national university inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, and the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee; The site features the Rajendra Smriti Sangrahalaya Museum, which preserves the personal belongings and historical artifacts of Dr. Prasad and items from the freedom struggle; It is a 20-acre haven on the banks of the River Ganga, symbolizing the ideals of Hindu-Muslim unity and the quest for Swaraj (self-rule).

By Air: The nearest airport is Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport (PAT), approximately 7 KMS away; Take a pre-paid taxi; The drive is about 20-30 minutes; By Train: The nearest major station is Patna Junction (PNBE), around 7 KMS away; The nearest local station is Digha Bridge Halt; Take an auto-rickshaw or taxi from Patna Junction toward the Digha area; By Road: The ashram is located beside the main road in the Digha area, making it easily accessible; It is a well-known landmark, particularly to local residents; Use the Bihar Vidyapeeth as a prominent reference point; By Local Transport: Shared auto-rickshaws running to the Digha side of the city will drop you off nearby; Due to its historical significance, most local drivers will know the location; Always negotiate the fare clearly.
