How to Reach

By Air (Connectivity): The primary gateway is Agra's Kheria Airport (AGR), approximately 35-40 KMS away. From there, the road journey via hired taxi takes about 1. 5 hours to reach the Fatehpur Sikri parking area, where the mandatory local transport must be used to get close to the monument. For international travelers, New Delhi (DEL) is the main entry point.

By Train (Local and Major Rail): The nearest local station is Fatehpur Sikri Railway Station (FTS), 3 KMS away. The major rail link is Agra Cantt Railway Station (AGC), about 37 KMS away, which is connected to all major cities. A taxi or bus from Agra Cantt is necessary for the road trip to the town, followed by the local shuttle to the fort.

By Road (Self-Drive and Bus): The site is easily accessible via NH 19 (Agra-Jaipur Road). State buses from Agra are frequent but slower. Private taxi or self-driving is recommended for comfort, taking about 1 hour from Agra. The vehicle must be parked at the designated Shahi Gate Parking.

By Local Transport (Shuttle Service): From the Shahi Gate Parking, the final 1 KM distance to the monument complex (and therefore the Baoli area) must be covered by the compulsory CNG auto-rickshaws or electric buses provided by the local administration to control pollution and traffic near the heritage site.
