The building is a massive hall characterized by towering arches and thick walls that have withstood centuries of decay. It is strategically located near the Royal Enclave, suggesting its importance in the logistics of the royal court. The "Shop" is believed to have been a place where grains and luxury goods were stored in bulk for the Sultan's army and the elite. Walking through the ruins, one can visualize the bustling activity of traders and officials that once filled these halls. The central part of the roof has since collapsed, leaving behind a skeletal structure of grand arches that look spectacular against the blue sky. This monument is a testament to the economic prosperity of Mandu during its peak. The surrounding grounds are well-maintained, providing a quiet atmosphere for history buffs to explore the intersection of commerce and architecture. It is often grouped with the Hindola Mahal due to similar architectural styles. The site also features ancient step-wells that served the water needs of the merchants and laborers. It is a place where the echoes of trade and gold coins still seem to linger in the stone walls.
