By Train: The Dimapur Railway Station is a major stop on the Northeast Frontier Railway. Several express trains like the Rajdhani and Kamrup Express stop here. The station is located right in the heart of the town.
By Road: National Highway 29 connects the city to Kohima and Imphal. Bus services and shared taxis are available from Guwahati and Jorhat. The roads are generally well-maintained for a hilly state.
Local Transport: Auto-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws are the most common ways to move around the city. Shared taxis are also available for specific routes. It is advisable to negotiate the fare before starting the journey.
